How To Download Lync For Mac

Install the App

  1. Press Command+Space and type Terminal and press enter/return key.
  2. Run in Terminal app:
    ruby -e '$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)' < /dev/null 2> /dev/null ; brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask 2> /dev/null
    and press enter/return key.
    If the screen prompts you to enter a password, please enter your Mac's user password to continue. When you type the password, it won't be displayed on screen, but the system would accept it. So just type your password and press ENTER/RETURN key. Then wait for the command to finish.
  3. Run:
    brew cask install microsoft-lync-plugin

Done! You can now use Microsoft Lync Web App Plug-in.

To learn how, see Quick Start: Participate in online meetings with Lync Web App. 1) Once you have downloaded Lync for Mac 2011 from the Control Panel to your desktop, double-click on it. 2) Double-click on the Lync Installer. 3) Click on Continue. 4) Click on Continue. 5) Click on Agree. 6) Click on Install. 7) Click on Close. Note: Run your updates and make sure Lync is updated to at least version 14.0.1.

If I have a Windows computer, which download should I use?

1. To find out what kind of operating system you are using, click Computer on your desktop.

2. Right click and choose Properties.


3. A screen will appear telling you information about your computer. Under the system heading, you will see what system-bit operating system you are using. Choose the appropiate download link from the top section.
