If you are using the Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Recorder thunderbolt capture device with Studiocode 10, please use Blackmagic drivers 10.5 (140 MB).
- This Blackmagic device is not a camera, but a device for capturing HDMI (or SDI) into a form your computer can use. It is useful for providing a video assist from another camera, but will not trigger high-resolution on it. I haven't used my mini recorder in a couple of years and a need from my church came up again so I thought to fire it up again. To my surprise the software did not recognize my recorder. So I immediately go into troubleshooting mode. I uniinstall and re-install the software. I enable access in the privacy settings but it still didn't work. I reached out to this BM team and they gave me basic troubleshooting info that I had already tried but it still did not work.
I have an older Macbook Pro mid 2012 on MacOS Catalina.
I tried my wife's mackbook air which is on MacOS Sierra and it worked fine, on the first try but of course I don't need it on my wife's computer, I need it on mine.
